When Your Upline goes AWOL

Wednesday, January 27th, 2010

Network Marketing is a great industry. It is especially wonderful if you are able to find a superior product line with a financially stable company.  Maximizing your financial rewards through the compensation plan can certainly be achieved if you take time to really understand your income opportunity – and especially the risidual benefits.

As with any serious business endeavor, you should take time to develop a concise business plan which includes your marketing strategy. You will no-doubt have some key insight into a few of the specific elements of your opportunity, because there was obviously something there that interested you enough to get involved.  The “hook” that brought you in, is probably a key interest for you – so you will likely utilize that interest in your own recruiting efforts.

Key Point:  take time to establish your business plan which will include your marketing strategy and perhaps your financial goals.

Unfortunately, most people who get involved with a Network Marketing opportunity do not really take their business seriously.Perhays they join because of some slick sales-pitch by a Distributor, or maybe they just really like the product.  Many people get involved because they want (and perhaps need) to believe – this is the opportunity that will bring them financial freedom.

Certainly, there are many great benefits in building a Network Marketing sales organization. But it does take effort, and should always be treated as a serious business – your business.

Too many good people have been hurt because they jumped-into an opportunity without assuming they had a role to play in the success. These honest people have been victimized by the over-hyped pitch that gives the illusion that nothing is required in order to build success. One of the biggest problems in the Network Marketing industry is the ridiculous distributors who recruit rookie networkers using hype and lies.

I have been a top income-earner in Network Marketing, and have also been a Corporate Vice President in the industry. In my years of leadership in the industry, I have seen (and been victimized by) some pretty disgusting sponsor tactics.I have also seen many dreams crushed, because people joined with the wrong expectations.

The advice I would give anyone who is looking to join a Network Marketing opportunity is – do not depend on your sponsor for your success. It is inevitable that your sponsor will let you down, or will abandon you and leave you stranded.  If you rely on them for your financial reward – you will be terribly disappointed.

Bottom Line: Do Not expect of depend on your sponsor for your success

If you want to succeed in your Network Marketing opportunity, decide that you will succeed on your own – regardless of what your upline may do.  You certainly may utilize tools they provide, but do not allow those tools to prohibit your own creative marketing ideas.Use as many resources and systems as you can – but never become solely dependent on any one tool for your succees. And make the decision not to NEVER give up when your sponsor goes AWOL… Just realize it is part of the deal.

Global Network Marketing, Is Success Possible?

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

The world seems to have shrunk with the development of the Internet, the extensive access to information and the diversity of communication channels. All the elements specific to this new trend find a direct expression in the various global network marketing programs. In limited market areas, small businesses and individuals fight for customers, while corporations have reached distant parts of the world. Franchises will here make the most relevant examples of global network marketing.

Despite the pretty difficult times that we are living, global network marketing seems little affected. Some will even claim that today is the best moment to start a business. Lots of web materials will try to convince you that the strength of the global network marketing industry is higher than ever. Direct selling reports might give you a clue if you know how to read and interpret statistics. And the main authority in the field, the Direct Selling Association, provides plenty of information to marketers.

Thanks to the nature of the system, global network marketing has the fastest growing rate known in economies, yet there have been lots of failures in pyramidal systems. It also creates lots of millionaires even if the largest sums of money do not go into the pockets of the distributors. To be the closest to the truth here, we should say that everybody gets a share. Lots of business leaders are presently endorsing global network marketing because it is a system that they invest little in and that attracts people in search of financial security or success.

Developing global network marketing is daring and difficult because of the problems that appear when trying to keep things under control from the distance. Add up the large expenses and the international communication challenges and you’ll see that the potential is half what you suspect. Great solutions come from the Internet, that supports global network marketing better than anything else. Even so, limitations still remain, although they stay local.

Let me mention only two companies that have succeeded with global network marketing: Amway and Avon. Yet, the list of examples does not stop here. If I were to give advice about whether to join a company involved in global network marketing or not, I would recommend caution. You should know well what investments are necessary, how the commission pattern operates and what recruitment options and facilities there are. Analyze things in depth and only then decide!

To succeed in a global network marketing company you must learn how to build your business.  You can do so using the internet and reach the entire globe at the same time.  Randy Disert is an online marketing expert who will show you his MLM success tips and exactly how he builds his business.

Get a Job in a Shaky Economy With a Great Network

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

Looking for a new job is not as easy as looking in the Sunday paper. You don’t see too many now hiring signs in front of stores. Today’s job seeker needs to be prepared to use online tools to find, network and apply for jobs in every industry from construction to customer service.

Before you begin you need to know what type of opportunity you are looking for. What position or job title do you envision yourself getting into? This will help you define keywords to use when searching or using job boards and looking for opportunities online.

Using a job board like Creerbuilder or Monster is very similar to using Google or Yahoo. Your results are determined by these keywords and phrases. Thus typing in insurance in Atlanta, GA will return related positions in and around that area. This is usually the first step any job seeker uses to begin the process of finding employment.

Jobs are being populated through social media and it gives you more avenues to find something. Recruiters and companies are posting jobs on various social networks like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook. They are doing this to get in front of the mass influx of people using these sites and the power of people’s networks to receive great recommendations for their open positions.

Building your network is the first step in using these social sites to increase your job availability. Find friends, family, co-workers and people you have met at networking events. You need to build a core network and keep building upon it.

Use Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn as the cornerstone to your oline network. With LinkedIn you can answer questions, see your network’s connections and their lifestyle design patterns.

Twitter’s hidden power lies within their real time search functionality. If you defined your keywords like earlier noted it will be easy to cut through the clutter and see messages that are important to your career search. You can easily set up searches for music marketing jobs, or sales opportunities in your local neighborhood.

The only rule is to not use only one source, use everything. From friends to job boards to classifieds and social sites, the key is to look any and everywhere. The next best thing is to paint yourself as an influential person by creating content about your area of expertise. If you are a Gen-Y Entrepreneur, start talking about being a young entrepreneur.

By using this advice you should be able to locate more opportunities. Even in this down economy, people are hiring if you know where to turn. To land that interview you will still need a great resume and the basic job requirements. If you approach looking for a job proactively you will find yourself with a new career faster than your peers.
