When Your Upline goes AWOL

Network Marketing is a great industry.It is especially wonderful if you are able to find a superior product line with a financially stable company.  Maximizing your financial rewards through the compensation plan can certainly be achieved if you take time to really understand your income opportunity – and especially the risidual benefits.

As with any serious business endeavor, you should take time to develop a concise business plan which includes your marketing strategy.You will no-doubt have some key insight into a few of the specific elements of your opportunity, because there was obviously something there that interested you enough to get involved.  The “hook” that brought you in, is probably a key interest for you – so you will likely utilize that interest in your own recruiting efforts.

Key Point:  take time to establish your business plan which will include your marketing strategy and perhaps your financial goals.

Unfortunately, most people who get involved with a Network Marketing opportunity do not really take their business seriously.Perhays they join because of some slick sales-pitch by a Distributor, or maybe they just really like the product.  Many people get involved because they want (and perhaps need) to believe – this is the opportunity that will bring them financial freedom.

Certainly, there are many great benefits in building a Network Marketing sales organization.But it does take effort, and should always be treated as a serious business – your business.

Too many good people have been hurt because they jumped-into an opportunity without assuming they had a role to play in the success.These honest people have been victimized by the over-hyped pitch that gives the illusion that nothing is required in order to build success.One of the biggest problems in the Network Marketing industry is the ridiculous distributors who recruit rookie networkers using hype and lies.

I have been a top income-earner in Network Marketing, and have also been a Corporate Vice President in the industry.In my years of leadership in the industry, I have seen (and been victimized by) some pretty disgusting sponsor tactics.I have also seen many dreams crushed, because people joined with the wrong expectations.

The advice I would give anyone who is looking to join a Network Marketing opportunity is – do not depend on your sponsor for your success.It is inevitable that your sponsor will let you down, or will abandon you and leave you stranded.  If you rely on them for your financial reward – you will be terribly disappointed.  

Bottom Line: Do Not expect of depend on your sponsor for your success

If you want to succeed in your Network Marketing opportunity, decide that you will succeed on your own – regardless of what your upline may do.  You certainly may utilize tools they provide, but do not allow those tools to prohibit your own creative marketing ideas.Use as many resources and systems as you can – but never become solely dependent on any one tool for your succees.And make the decision not to NEVER give up when your sponsor goes AWOL… Just realize it is part of the deal.

How to avoid failing at network marketing

One thing that is needed right now by most people is more money.It used to be a fact that people would try to get another job to be able to accomplish this.  But with mounting job losses and employers cutting back it makes it hard.One industry people are looking to for help is the network marketing industry.  That is one industry that thrives in a down economy.But it is an opportunity that a lot of people don’t succeed with.  So here are ways to avoid failure.

First of all joining one of the top mlm companies doesn’t ensure success.To be honest here, it probably will make it harder to become successful.The main reason is because people become too dependent on the big MLM companies helping them succeed.Naturally it won’t be a problem to join a good network marketing opportunity.  Just realize it isn’t what helps you succeed.

Other people want to join because they feel a company has a good network marketing product.That is one more thing that is incorrect in determining your success.  A good product still doesn’t sell itself.Another thing is a good product won’t sell people into joining you in your MLM.  And joining you is one of the main ways you will create an income you can live off of.No, a good product is something you should have, but it isn’t the reason you will have success.

Probably the one skill that will help you succeed is network marketing prospecting. If you master this one skill you can write your own check.You will have the skills to have success regardless of what company it is.  It won’t matter what the product is.Because the prospects will be signing up with you.So become an expert at prospecting and you can have as much success as you desire.

So if you don’t want to fail in network marketing don’t rely on the product. Don’t rely on it being a top mlm company. Know the only thing to rely on is the skills you develop.Then you will experience success.

Using network marketing for extra money

All that you hear in the news nowadays is how horrible the economy is.They keep mentioning all the job losses.  They talk about home foreclosures.They are always pointing out that the dollar is weaker.  Because of that more and more people are looking for ways to make extra money.

One of the ways people are looking into is network marketing.In horrible economic environments mlm companies have a growth spurt.Mostly because a lot of people are in serious need of extra cash.  So you are going to find a lot of people looking for many different network marketing opportunities

That is a big reason why a lot of these opportunities will have a huge growth in their industry.Quite a few of these people won’t just be looking for mlm opportunities.  They are going to look for the top network marketing companies.Most people want to join the best opportunities and is is reasonable.  But people don’t realize that success in network marketing is more than the best companies.

They have to realize that success in mlm will be dependant upon how well they can do some mlm prospecting.Recruiting is what makes this business survive.  If they cannot bring in new distributors they will not make it.  After all that is what the whole business is based upon.Earning overrides off of your people your bring in. 

So they need to look beyond just the top companies.They have to develop the skill of prospecting people.That is a skill that most people won’t be familiar with.If they make no effort to learn how to do it, they will soon fail.  Luckily there are plenty of places they can learn.  If they go out and do it, they can succeed.

But just as in any business, if they become lazy and don’t really work hard, they will see failure.  So if you are going to build a network marketing business get ready to work. It is not as easy to do as some people describe it to be.
